For the last 12 years of tenure at the Schenectady City School District, chaired the Committee on Special Education for both school age and preschool students planning specialized programs within the mainstream or in restricted environments, with focusing on expectations that were student centered rather than curriculum driven
Undergraduate study in Psychology and French Literature at Douglass College, Rutgers, New Jersey
Doctoral study in Clinical Psychology at Columbia University, NYC
Clinical Internship at the VA Hospital, NJ, and Educational Psychology at State University of New York at Albany
As a parent, participated in the establishment of the Open School in 1971, an alternative school within the Schenectady School District, which provided a holistic, individualized, child centered approach to instruction considering the developmental level and interests of the students
