Co-Founder and Board President - Jennifer Hanson

• In addition to being a co-founder, Jen has continuously served as an active member of the Board of Trustees (most frequently as President) and volunteered as RiverRun's bookkeeper.  She also currently volunteers as Admission Coordinator and handles the school's advertising.
   

• Completion of the course “Finding the Perfect Match” through The Montessori Foundations' Montessori Leadership Institute, Fall 2009
   

• Owner of Hanson Financial Services, Inc., which provides computer programming to hospital billing offices throughout the United States. Performing most work remotely from her home office, Jennifer has been an independent consultant since 2003, incorporating in 2007.
   

• Prior career experience includes five years as an officer in the U.S. Army, two years as a Brand Manager at the Proctor & Gamble Company with responsibility for a $24-million dollar annual budget, and nine years as an administrator and teacher for a non-profit education center - The Option Institute & Fellowship in Sheffield, MA
   

• Additional experience: served as a Board Member and Treasurer for Unity Church in Albany; co-directed Unity’s fund-raising efforts to purchase a new church; wrote and delivered an award-winning speech in a Toastmasters International tri-state competition; and is the author of "Hiking the Continental Divide Trail: One Woman's Journey"
   

• Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering, United States Military Academy, West Point, NY, 1977-1981
   

• Resides in Niskayuna with her partner Denise Watso and their son Noah and daughter Eliana
