Debbie Castle, Assistant Lower Elementary
Directress and future Upper Elementary Directress
Debbie has a keen interest in Montessori and
35 years of experience as an elementary educator in the public sector. She
has been a Classroom Teacher (grades 2-5), Enrichment Teacher (K-8), and
Odyssey of the Mind Coordinator and Coach (K-12). She has developed
thematic units of study on the Space Age, Archeology, Geology, Calculus,
Election Process, Women’s Rights, Art Appreciation, The Iliad and The
Odyssey, and Shakespeare, and looks forward to offering these units at
RiverRun. Debbie is a warm-hearted, enthusiastic, creative educator who
inspires the very best from her students.
