Tuition
Tuition for the 2010-11 school year is
$6,250. This covers attendance during scheduled school days from 8:50 AM -
3:05 PM, as per the published school calendar.
Once an application for admission has been
accepted, a $400 non-refundable registration deposit is due to secure a
spot. This $400 is applied towards tuition cost.
Paying the registration deposit within three
weeks of acceptance guarantees enrollment. Enrollment spots are then
secured in the order in which registration deposits are received.
Therefore, early payment is recommended. If all enrollment spots are
filled, families will be placed on a waiting list, and if space becomes
available, the registration deposit is due within two weeks of notice.
The tuition balance of $5,850 is to be paid
in ten equal payments of $585 due on the 1st of the months July, August,
September, October, November, December, January, February, March, and April.
Families enrolling more than one child at
RiverRun in the same school year receive a 10% sibling discount for the
second child and a 25% sibling discount for the third and subsequent
children. The first child’s tuition is the full $6,250. A second child’s
tuition is $5,625 and equates to a monthly payment of $522.50 (after the
initial $400 deposit). Third and subsequent children’s tuition is $4,687.50
and equates to a monthly payment of $428.75 (after the initial $400
deposit).
Prompt tuition payments are critical for
successful operations of the school. Therefore, payments made after the 5th
of the month are subject to a $30 late fee. Returned checks are subject to
a $20 fee. If your family is experiencing financial hardship, it is
important to speak to the BOT president before the payment is due.
A limited number of need-based partial
scholarships may be available each year. Please click

(instructions and application in PDF).
Note that as RiverRun is a cooperative
venture, each family is also asked to contribute at least 20 hours of
volunteer service to the school each school year.
“Our care of the children should be governed
not by the desire to 'make them learn things', but by the endeavor always to
keep burning within them the light which is called intelligence.” -
