Tuition Policies

To secure enrollment at RiverRun, a deposit of one month’s tuition is required with the signed contract.  The tuition balance is to be paid as either a single payment by July 1st or in ten equal payments due on the 1st of the months July, August, September, October, November, December, January, February, March, and April.  No interest or fees are charged for the monthly payment plan.

Tuition payments should be mailed to RiverRun Montessori, 210 Morris Rd Schenectady, NY 12303. Credit card payments may be set up for an extra fee.

Families enrolling more than one child at RiverRun in the same school year receive a 10% sibling discount for the second child and a 25% sibling discount for the third and subsequent children.

Prompt tuition payments are critical for successful operations of the school.  Therefore, payments received after the 5th of the month are subject to a $20 late fee.  Payments received after the 10th of the month are subject to an additional $20 late fee.  Returned checks are subject to a $20 fee.  If your family is experiencing financial hardship, it is important to speak to the Admissions Coordinator before the payment is due.

A limited number of need-based scholarships are available each year.

As RiverRun is a cooperative venture, each family is also asked to contribute at least 20 hours of volunteer service to the school each academic year.  Parents are offered a broad range of volunteer opportunities, such as assisting with after school clubs, organizing social events, providing technical support, applying for grants, and being a part of our Development Committee.  In addition, teachers often invite parents to volunteer in the class as homeroom parents, chaperone field trips, care for classroom pets over the holidays, etc.
