Sherrie Clune, School Administrator

Sherrie has been a Montessori educator since 1996. Before joining RiverRun, she enjoyed a long tenure at Woodland Hill Montessori School in North Greenbush, NY where she was an Upper Elementary Head Teacher from 2006 to 2016 and a Lower Elementary Head Teacher from 1999 to 2006. While at Woodland Hill, Sherrie also served as Educational Curriculum Coordinator, Accreditation Chair, and Teacher Board Representative. 

Sherrie has a Master’s degree in Education with a Montessori emphasis from Chaminade University. She received her 6-9-year-old Montessori certification in 1999 and her 9-12-year-old certification in 2007 from the Center for Montessori Teacher Education (CMTE). Sherrie received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies and Teacher Education from the State University of Albany (1996). She is NYS certified in Social Studies, grades 7-12.


Christine Parisi, Assistant Administrator

Chris is a NY state certified teacher with a degree in Elementary Education for grades K-6 and Social Studies for grades 7-9 from the College of St. Rose.  After Chris raised and helped educate her own 4 children she went on to work in the Mohonasen Central School District as a teacher's aide and also in food service.  She has 3 years of experience as a preschool lead teacher and 13 years of experience as a desk manager/administrative assistant.


Maureen Brown-Lansaw

Primary Class Directress (ages 3-6 yrs)

Maureen has over twelve years of experience as a Montessori Primary Head Directress.  She received her Early Children Montessori Certificate from NMTE; has New York state permanent teaching credential for Pre-K through 6-th grade; and has a MS in Educational, Psychology and Statistics from the University at Albany, SUNY.  


Amy Poole

Lower Elementary Class Directress (grades 1-3)

Amy has has taught as RiverRun since 2010. She received her Montessori 6-9 Year Certificate from the Center for Montessori Education/NY.  She interned at Woodland Hill Montessori School (6-9 year / Substitute Teacher). Amy holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University. 


Emily Mottolese

Upper Elementary Class Directress (grades 4-6)

 Emily is a talented teacher who has a natural feel for working with her students' interests in order to enhance their academic growth.  She is a NY state certified teacher with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Childhood Education (Birth- Sixth grade) with a concentration in Spanish and a minor in Educational Psychology from SUNY Oneonta. Prior to joining RiverRun, she worked with primary age students and enjoyed doing her student teaching at the sixth and second grade levels.


Heidi Kelly

Middle School Class Directress (grades 7-8)

Heidi received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biology and German from Earlham College where she also studied Experiential and Outdoor Education. Heidi has ten years of experience working with adolescents in a variety of settings. She began her career at the Arthur Morgan School, a Montessori inspired boarding school for student in grades 7-9. Locally Heidi has worked at Robert C. Parker and Woodland Hill Montessori schools, where she was a long term substitute in the Upper Elementary class and frequent substitute and Math & Science support person for the Middle School.


Cynthia Cramsie

Mandarin Teacher and Primary Classroom Assistant

Cynthia has a Bachelors Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Macalester College, a Masters Degree in Chinese Linguistics from the University of Minnesota, and a Masters Degree in Teaching from Union Graduate College. She taught ESL in the United States, Scotland, and China; and Chinese for Schenectady Schools and privately. Cynthia has experiences in Montessori education as a toddler class assistant, primary substitute, and a summer session teacher. She teaches Mandarin to students in all classrooms at RiverRun.


Karen Roberts, Lower Elementary Classroom Assistant

Karen brings to RiverRun her years’ of experience working as a primary classroom assistant at Our World Montessori.  Karen has a wide range of experience and a commitment to the Montessori pedagogy that comes through in her work with children, parents and colleagues.
